Amber Kay Lynn, MA, LCMHC-A, E-RYT 200, RYT 500
Amber is an experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT 200, RYT 500, YACEP) trained in advanced yoga therapeutics, applying yoga techniques for optimal health and well-being. Amber’s passion for counseling and yoga developed from her own battle with chronic migraines and pain, anxiety, self-esteem, and childhood bullying. Inspired by the benefits of yoga and therapy Amber experienced herself, she became a yoga teacher and began pursuing her masters in clinical mental health counseling after a 10 year career in Corporate IT. As a former collegiate athlete, Amber had a strong foundation to build from. Amber provides counseling services and group yoga therapy sessions at Lakeshore Counseling and strives to provide a welcoming and non-judgmental environment for her clients as they seek wellness and support amongst life’s transitions and challenges.
Amber is passionate about teaching yoga classes that she enjoys taking and that keep her migraines at bay; slow flow with a focus on breath, yin, deep stretch, restorative, and meditation. At 6'3'' she values yoga props and loves to teach accessible yoga and chair yoga. Amber is passionate about community and helping everyone take steps to live the lives they imagine.
Amber was born in Lorain, OH and now lives in Mooresville, NC with Dr. Troy and their spoiled dogs. Amber has an infectious laugh and loves to let her inner child come out to play at costume contests, game nights, and day to day life. She is pro-naps and has been known to pack newspapers and plastic in her bag to take home to recycle. When she isn’t on her yoga mat or chopping vegetables, you can find her outdoors walking a dog or three, hiking, curled up in a hammock with a good book, or traveling.
